Our brief:

The client is successful and the largest company in its sector worldwide. Their aim is to stay that way by encouraging a creative, can-do approach to their own clients’ demands. The fast-changing world of the sector means companies are continually fighting to stay ahead and differentiate themselves. One way this client chooses to do this is by consciously applying a special creative “touch” in everything it does. Could we help create and deliver a Leadership Workshop with a special touch?

 

The client's stated need:

To develop leaders who can work independently and set direction at a local level in line with company strategy, act decisively and deliver on all triple bottom line targets (financial, environmental and social).

 

What we did:

PinT were called in to consult with the headquarters Training department and an existing local supplier to ensure an international flavour to the Workshop. The creative juices flowed easily between the three parties and PinT were soon invited in as full partners in a four-day event that involves boats, huts, islands, circus tents, actors, singers, chefs and the company President. A month is spent pre-course working in Family learning groups on an IT platform to develop a Leadership Case which is then explored and challenged during the workshop. The families complete their case after a debrief with their manager back at work. The case is then published on the Platform.

 

How it went:

Initially, six were planned. Since then, we have run numerous additional workshops. Popular demand has kept this workshop alive. Immediate challenge and close, personal, "family-based" feedback on Leadership competences in action mean many managers leave this programme as changed people.

Our internationally experienced trainers are able to meet these managers on a level and provide a challenge and feedback they seldom get from others at work. We can also have fun learning and distinguish it from non-learning.
